ISO/IEC 27001 is on the rise, both globally and here in the UK and Ireland.
The recent ISO Survey results from 2024 indicate a 23% growth in the UK and a 115% growth in Ireland, in just 12 months.
This growth is significantly higher than the traditional big three, ISO 14001, 45001 and 9001.
Alongside this surge, the wider cyber security landscape is also shifting. The UK Government’s Cyber Security Breaches Survey 2024 reports that half of medium and large businesses experienced a cyber incident in the past year, and the average cost of a cyber breach to a medium business now exceeds £10,000, with costs rising sharply for larger organisations.
ISO/IEC 27001 requires organisations to identify, document and comply with all legal, regulatory and contractual information security requirements that the organisation must meet.
We currently provide this service for ISO 14001 and 45001, and we want to gather information from our current customer base on the addition of an Information Security Register.
