Explanation: Whilst not an exhaustive list as all PPE provided should be identified in the risk assessments. We’d expect to see this kind of PPE because: 

• The angle grinder or metal could become hot and have sharp edges requiring gloves. The gloves could also be used to minimize the effects of vibration. 

• The noise emitted could require hearing protection. 

• Eye and feet safety is required as there might be metal particles or fragments that could dislodge and fly towards the eyes or feet causing damage.  

• Protective clothing should be considered if there is a risk of sparks which could ignite other pieces of clothing. Loose clothing shouldn’t be worn as it could get trapped.

• There is a risk of falling objects as warehouses often have high shelves and / or loose product.
• High visibility clothing should always be worn to make workers easier to see. Warehouses often have moving machinery like forklifts so visibility should be a priority to prevent accidents.
• Safety gloves should be worn to protect the hands. Working in a warehouse moving objects puts a lot of strain on hands and can expose them to cuts and abrasions if they are not protected.
• Safety footwear should be worn to prevent injuries to the feet but also to reduce the risk of slips and falls.

• Chemicals can be dangerous if inhaled so proper respiratory protection should be worn to protect airways.
• A face shield should be worn to prevent chemicals splashing on the face causing chemical burns or other effects.
• Protective clothing should be worn to prevent chemical contact with skin.

• A safety harness should be used as it can catch and support a worker preventing or minimising a serious impact from a fall.
• Safety glasses and head protection should be worn as the worker will be performing activities which could cause objects to drop and cause harm.
• Appropriate footwear should also be worn to prevent feet injuries but also to prevent any slipping whilst working at height.
