Haldex, as part of the SAF Holland Group, manufactures brake systems and air suspension solutions that enhance the safety, dynamics and durability of heavy trucks, trailers, and buses.

How we supported Haldex

Haldex wanted to better understand the legal requirements that applied to their business, both in terms of environment and health & safety. This was to improve staff awareness of the requirements, ensure a high level of legal compliance and to help retain their certification to ISO 14001.

Our consultants spent time with the team at Haldex getting to know the business and clearly establishing the activities and facilities to which legislation would apply. This involved working closely with key contacts from Haldex and looking at each piece of EHS legislation in detail to establish applicability.

Outcome

Bespoke environment and health & safety legal registers were then developed, with our consultants taking the time to ensure that Haldex had a thorough understanding of the duties for businesses set out in the key pieces of legislation contained in the registers. Haldex are now confident in managing all EHS compliance obligations and in ensuring ongoing certification to ISO 14001.
