Kerry Hammick

Head of Consultancy

Kerry leads our team of environment and health and safety consultants, managing our consultancy services. She has worked in the field of environment management for over 16 years across multiple industry sectors, delivering a wide range of bespoke environmental support and guidance to clients. As a former environmental regulator, her specialisms lie in environmental permitting, waste regulation and legal compliance.

Kerry has been with The Compliance People for over 6 years, starting as a consultant, then Lead Consultant and is now our Head of Consultancy. Prior to this she worked at the Environment Agency, first as an Environment Officer and then as a Waste Regulatory Specialist. This has given her a breadth of experience in:

Environmental legal compliance auditing
Compiling bespoke legal registers
Management systems support
Developing and delivering bespoke environmental training
Regulatory interventions at permitted facilities
Successful prosecutions for environmental offences

Practitioner Member of the Institute of Sustainability and Environmental Professionals (PISEP)
Registered Environmental Auditor with ISEP
Technical Member of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH)
National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety

Interests

Kerry loves to travel and has recently returned from the trip of a lifetime travelling around Japan. Travel also allows her to indulge her other interests, hiking and food.
Nearer to home, Kerry has a passion for interior design and music. She also enjoys boxing and has been known to have the occasional split lip or black eye!
