The Plant Health (Export Certification) (Scotland) Order 2018 prescribes the fees and procedures for phytosanitary certificates under Assimilated Regulation 2016/2031 on protective measures against pests of plants. Those that require a phytosanitary certificate for the export of plants and plant products must comply with inspectors, provide accurate information and pay any associated fees. 
 

Duties

Phytosanitary Certificates
Applicants for phytosanitary certificates under Assimilated Regulation 2016/2031 on protective measures against pests of plants are required to:

  • allow inspections of their premises;
  • provide accurate information in their applications; and
  • pay any prescribed fees relating to the issuing of the certificate.

 

Amendment

The exemption from fees for consignments of plants, plant products and other objects being moved from Scotland to Northern Ireland is removed as a result of the Movement Assistance Scheme ending.
