To accommodate busy schedules, the course is delivered remotely over two interactive modules on separate days, reducing online learning fatigue while giving participants time to absorb the material. Attendance at both modules is required to successfully complete the course.

It’s a tutor-led course delivered remotely across two interactive online modules (09:30-12:30), run on separate days. Splitting the course this way is designed to reduce online learning fatigue and give participants time to absorb the material between sessions.
Yes. The course guides you through the key requirements for completing and checking Waste Transfer Notes (WTNs) and Hazardous Waste Consignment Notes (HWCNs). You’ll finish with the confidence to complete and review your organisation’s waste duty of care paperwork correctly.
Yes. The course outlines the new environmental permitting system that will replace the current carrier, broker and dealer registration regime from July 2027, including the shift from ‘carriers, brokers and dealers’ to ‘waste controllers’ and ‘waste transporters’, and the key dates organisations need to prepare for.
Yes. The course equips you with the knowledge of where to check and what to look for when confirming that your organisation’s waste is being transported by authorised waste carriers and sent to appropriately permitted facilities. You’ll get hands-on practice conducting these checks, along with a template to take away to help you record your waste duty of care checks going forward.
