Building Safety (Wales) Act 2026

Owners, managers and residents of regulated buildings containing 2 or more residential units and houses in multiple occupancy (HMOs) must comply with fire and structural building safety requirements. Building safety authorities (local authorities) and fire safety authorities are responsible for enforcing compliance with requirements. Welsh Ministers are responsible for making regulations to implement specific requirements and duties under the Act.
