2025 was a busy year here at The Compliance People and we thought it would be good to share what we’ve been up to and what you can look forward to in 2026 to help support your EHS legal compliance.
LUS
In 2025 we wrote over 700 summaries of EHS legislation into LUS, either as entirely new pieces of legislation, or as changes in your ‘updates’ section! Your New In Your Register will show all which apply to you, and you can go back and look through past updates if you’ve missed any.
As well as looking at new legislation, it’s important to us to keep refreshing the thousands of entries already in the LUS system. As we continue to improve our service over time, we review what already exists to make sure we provide you with the best information. We’ve most recently done a huge review of all our Republic of Ireland content and completed reviewing and rewriting every single entry in 2025. This will ensure all our Irish subscribers, including those with multi-site accounts, have great quality summaries and duties.
In 2026 we’ll be continuing to add new EHS legislation, improving our existing entries and have some exciting visual and functionality changes to make it even easier to track compliance in LUS. We’re also excited to launch our new Resources feature within LUS – ‘Know How’ this year. We’ve been busy for the last few months developing handy downloadable templates and guidance on the practical application of key pieces of legislation and will continue to grow our pool of resources for our subscribers. Consultancy
Our consultants supported many clients in 2025 with EHS legal compliance, training, and all aspects of management systems development, implementation and maintenance, working with 96 different organisations across a range of sectors ranging from Formula 1 car manufacturers, universities, train and airline operators to materials recovery facilities and housing associations. 2026 is an exciting year, with many changes on the horizon, including revisions to ISO 14001 (expected March 2026) and ISO 9001 standards (expected October 2026). Our expert team of consultants are here to keep you up to date, offering an ISO 14001:2026 Key Changes Awareness Training Course from March 2026, in addition to transition support. We will also be working hard to help you prepare for the upcoming waste exemptions regime reforms, through training and practical onsite consultancy support. Keep an eye out for training dates later in the year!
Webinars
Over 1300 EHS professionals signed up for our September 2025 Legal Update Webinar, covering the key EHS legal changes over the previous 6 months and on the horizon. If you missed it you can watch the recording here, and access answers to the questions asked by attendees. Attendees now all get a certificate of attendance to evidence their continued professional development.
