Mitsubishi Chemicals Electrolyte Division manufacture formulated electrolytes in inorganic solvents for lithium-ion batteries used in electric vehicles.
Following changes to the site and the structure of the business, The Compliance People supported the Company in ensuring compliance with all relevant EHS law.
How we supported the Mitsubishi Chemicals
Our consultants developed bespoke legal registers on Legislation Update Service (LUS) for both environment and health & safety, ensuring that all relevant legislation was captured.
Each piece of legislation in each register was then audited in detail by reviewing documented evidence and asking relevant personnel questions, to determine the current compliance level. Guidance and support were then provided on any gaps identified, best practice and any actions required to achieve compliance.
Outcome
Mitsubishi Chemicals worked closely with The Compliance People to successfully close out actions and ensure ongoing EHS legal compliance at their site. Staff now have a good understanding of the EHS legislation applicable to the organisation and are clear on what is required to ensure ongoing compliance.
The Compliance People were a great help in supporting us to set up and manage legal registers for both environment and health & safety. This ensured that we were compliant with EHS Law, but also closed out non-conformance actions from our corporate audit and ISO 14001 audit, helping us to maintain our ISO 14001 accreditation.
