Amendment
Hydrogen-powered Non-Road Mobile Machinery (NRMM) and agricultural vehicles are allowed to be driven on the road, provided they meet minimum safety requirements.
In order to be driven on the road, hydrogen-powered NRMM and agricultural vehicles must:
- be designed and constructed, and not just adapted, to be fuelled by hydrogen;
- comply with the Pressure Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016;
- comply with Schedule 5A (Hydrogen Fuelled Machinery); and
- be one of the following vehicles:
- an agricultural motor vehicle;
- engineering plant; or
- a works truck.
