Amendment
From 2nd December 2025, section 304 of the Energy Act 2023 comes into full force. Section 304 amends the Nuclear Installations Act 1965, setting the requirements for excluded disposal sites which are exempt from complying with strict requirements, based on the site meeting permit conditions and handling only low-level nuclear waste.
