Consultant

Jon is one of our team of environment and health and safety consultants, primarily supporting our clients with environmental consultancy services. He has over 29 years of environmental and sustainability management experience, gained across a range of sectors. Jon has worked as an air policy officer for an environmental regulator, with specialisms in environmental permitting, legal compliance, air quality and emission trading schemes.


Jon is a Chartered Environmentalist and was made a Fellow of IEMA following his five years of Chairing the IEMA Climate Change and Energy Network.


Jon has experience in:

  • Environmental legal compliance auditing.
  • Emission trading schemes.
  • ESG reporting and disclosure (TCFD, IFRS, CSRD).
  • Compiling bespoke legal registers.
  • Integrated management systems implementation and support (ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 5001, ISO 9001).
  • Developing and delivering bespoke environmental training.
  • Regulatory interventions at permitted facilities.
  • Working with the regulators and other competent authorities to ensure compliance.

Interests

Jon enjoys being active and regularly plays badminton at his local club, swims and enjoys hiking and cycling. He also enjoys combining his love of food with travel to explore new places and to meet new people.


Jon also enjoys trying new and exciting experiences with his son “what could possibly go wrong!” It turns out quite a lot; when Jon has suddenly run out of talent on his mountain bike and has been forced to make an unplanned dismount…or two!
